Synopsis

When literature student Anastasia Steele goes to interview young entrepreneur Christian Grey, she encounters a man who is beautiful, brilliant, and intimidating. The unworldly, innocent Ana is startled to realize she wants this man and, despite his enigmatic reserve, finds she is desperate to get close to him. Unable to resist Ana’s quiet beauty, wit, and independent spirit, Grey admits he wants her, too—but on his own terms.

My Thoughts

I basically refuse to write three separate reviews on each of these books. They are not worth it. I love great books and I love classic books and I love easy, trashy books. So, I read the Fifty Shades series.

I definitely had a very different idea of what these books were about. There is some plot – I swear. I really did enjoy reading about these characters and Christian Grey’s “development”.
These characters and their relationships are flawed and I absolutely recognize that. I would never hope to be in such a tangled mess, but deep down, the characters do love each other and they do help each other become their best selves.

So with that, I say I probably could have written a better book. I also probably could have edited a better book. But they are what they are and definitely do not need to be taken seriously.

My Favorite Line

“You love me,” I whisper.
His eyes widen further and his mouth opens. He takes a huge breath as if winded. He looks tortured – vulnerable.

“Yes,” he whispers. “I do.”
